Today room 9 did plays about Tika Pono and Aroha. 

Tika means justice, pono means doing what is right and aroha means love. We split into groups and came up with great ideas. Some groups did people bullying one another. Other people did people teasing each other. Then someone told to stop fighting and made it fair. It was fun we learnt a lot about Tika Pono and Aroha.

Family Friday Week 7

Today my dad came in for Family Friday. He was talking about Holland. We learnt a lot, he taught us about dutch words, clogs (which are special shoes) and the Netherlands Football team  He also gave us delicious dutch biscuits. Thanks papa!

Self Portraits

This week we learnt how to draw a face by visualising it into three thirds. The top third is your forehead and eyes, the middle third is your nose and upper mouth and the bottom third is your lips and chin. It was fun learning to draw our self-portrait. We hope you like our pictures.

Family Friday Week 6

This Friday my dad came in and taught us about orienteering. He created a map of the school and made a course for our class. We got into teams of two and three. Then we ran around the course to find codes and clues. At the end we needed to work out the code which was.....Room 9 is cool! He showed us a clip about orienteering and asked us if we wanted to do orienteering again and Room 9 all said yes! Thanks for coming in dad, you're the best!
