My Family Friday

On the 27^th of August my dad came in and

talked about his job working for Mighty River

Power. That is an electricity company.

He did a power point then he took us to a surprise, which was an a electric car and three lucky people got to ride in it and others got to sit in it. I really enjoyed it.

In Room 9 we read plays every Friday, it's heaps of fun and the class love it! This term Mrs Suggate got the students into groups to create their own play instead of reading one from a journal. Room 9 have been very creative and have made some original plays. We hope you like them!

Self Portraits

This week we learnt how to draw a face by visualising it into three thirds. The top third is your forehead and eyes, the middle third is your nose and upper mouth and the bottom third is your lips and chin. It was fun learning to draw our self-portrait. We hope you like our pictures.

On Friday's we do cool, exciting plays. It helps us practise reading out loud, using expression, working as a team and performing in front of an audience plus we all love, love, love acting.

Shrove Tuesday

On Tuesday we made yummy pancakes and waffles. We mixed the ingredients and Mrs Suggate cooked it. We learnt about Shrove Tuesday and ash Wednesday. When the food was ready we ate them all up. The pancakes and waffles were super duper yummy.
