Week 5 Term 2 Family Friday

On Friday the 22nd of May my dad came  in and talked about my trip to Tiri Tiri Matangi. He also talked about all the native birds and animals on Tiri Tiri Matangi.In the power point there was a quiz about all the birds whoever got an answer right they got a lolly pop.

Family Friday Week 5

Today it was Family Friday but on a Thursday.

It was so much fun! Mr McGillivray came in and talked about iron sand and some other sands called

PC, RAW and White sand but Mr McGillivray got the white sand out of the sand pit. It was fun learning about the iron in the sand and using magnets. He then dressed some children up in a special uniform that protect the people that work in extreme temperatures to make the iron and steel. Thanks for coming in Dad.

Shrove Tuesday

On Tuesday we made yummy pancakes and waffles. We mixed the ingredients and Mrs Suggate cooked it. We learnt about Shrove Tuesday and ash Wednesday. When the food was ready we ate them all up. The pancakes and waffles were super duper yummy.

Super Heroes

This week we have been creating a super hero. We used costumes to take a photo of ourselves as a super hero and came up with a name, powers and weaknesses. We also wrote our own likes/dislikes and a goal we would like to have at Good Shepherd School this year.
