Student Teachers

Last week in Room 9 we have had two student teachers, Miss Malone and Mr Buys. They are both very nice and at teacher's story today, Miss Malone read us an amazing story called Mama duke and Marmalade  Jam. Mr Buys read a story called 10,000 sheep. They have been with us for a week and they have sat down with our groups and have seen how we learn. We have enjoyed having them in class.

                                                                                                                                                  

Family Friday Week 11

Today my mum, Jane came in and she talked about her job in theater and show production. People asked questions and me and mum did a quiz about shows in Auckland. It was really fun and I made some sound effects. After we sung happy birthday, we played wink murderer.

Transfiguration

In R.E we have been learning about the transfiguration. Room 9 drew four pictures that represent each part of the transfiguration. We hope you like them.

I Am Poems

         I AM POEMS

At the start of the year room 9 wrote I am poems. We wrote a poem about ourselves. Then we drew pictures of ourselves and coloured it in. They had things like noun phrases, adjectives and similes.

Family Friday Week 10

On Family Friday today we learnt about rainbows with my dad Carl . We learnt why the sky is blue, how rainbows are made, ROYGBIV and how a prism can make a rainbow. Thanks so much for coming in dad!

Last week “Mary said yes!!!” to the angel Gabriel because Gabriel said you and joseph are getting married and having a child and his name will be Jesus the son of God. We all had a superb R.E colouring, drawing and pasting.

Family Fridays

Thank you so much Liz for spending your time with Room 9 and telling us about the Hawkes bay. We all had a lot of fun learning about new things you told us, and picking prizes. All of us learnt a lot of new things like the most famous winery in NZ, what the Hawkes Bay is famous for and why we need bees. We hope you enjoyed your time in Room9 because we enjoyed your visit.
