Family Friday Term 3 Week 1

On Friday my auntie Catherine came in. She came all the way from Ireland and talked to us about her job and read us some books called the Giant Cathaway and Sweet Molly Malone. It was fun learning about some tales from Ireland and hearing about the school she works at. Then we played wink murderer. I was the detective and I had three guesses to guess who the wink murderer was. If the detective couldn't guess the murderer, the murderer became the detective. At the end she gave us some yummy chupa chups. Thank you auntie Catherine!

Cake Making

On Thursday we made a sponge cake for free choice. The people who wanted to make it got to do it. We all got to help make the cake mixture we all got a turn at mixing it all together. Once the mixture was ready it had to go up to the staffroom to bake to eat. The cake was yummy after it was made.

Family Friday Week 9

Today my mum came in for Family Friday and she told us about the Cape Town mistrals and the competition to be best dressed best dance and best singing. She also told us a little bit about Table Mountain and when clouds are low it looks like there’s a table cloth on Table Mountain. I surprised the class by showing them how people dance for the festival. Thanks for coming in mum!

Family Friday Week 8

On Friday Anija’s mum Marieke came in for family Friday we talked about the FIFA world cup and did a quiz about it. Some of the questions were who are the defending champions? Who is the official sponsor of the FIFA world cup? And who were the only team not to lose a game at the last FIFA world cup. We also had questions with pictures. At the end everyone pulled a name out of the container and can support that team then at the end of the FIFA world cup whoever wins gets a prize.
