Week 2 Family Friday

This week my mum came in and talked about her job at Auckland University. She asked us questions like, "what do you want to be when you grow up and why?' Then she told us about all the jobs you can learn at University and we found out that Auckland University is the best University in New Zealand. She explained to us about her job, which is a HR Manager. It was fun. Thank you Mum.

Family Friday Week 9

Today mum came and talked about our trip to Rarotonga. She gave us a delicious, creamy coconut milk to drink. She taught us how to wrap a sarong. It was fun teaching the children about the Rarotongan culture we learnt on our holiday.

R.E

Today room 9 did plays about Tika Pono and Aroha.
Tika means justice, pono means doing what is right and aroha means love. We split into groups and came up with great ideas. Some groups did people bullying one another. Other people did people teasing each other. Then someone told to stop fighting and made it fair. It was fun we learnt a lot about Tika Pono and Aroha.

Self Portraits

This week we learnt how to draw a face by visualising it into three thirds. The top third is your forehead and eyes, the middle third is your nose and upper mouth and the bottom third is your lips and chin. It was fun learning to draw our self-portrait. We hope you like our pictures.
